Oxford Editing charges by the word. Our rates will vary dramatically depending on the amount of work required. But, generally clients pay between 3.4 and 6 cents per word. For manuscripts that require intensive structural work (one of our specialities), we charge between $50 and $70 per hour.

Most clients start by sending us a portion of their work. We return a no-obligation sample edit and firm price quote for the rest of the document. Rarely do clients turn down our services after receiving our sample edit.

Once we accept a job, we can usually guarantee the work will be returned within 6 days. For clients who require faster turnaround, we charge the following for rush delivery:

Within four days: 30 percent surcharge
Within three days: 40 percent surcharge
Within two days: 50 percent surcharge
Within one day: Make inquiry

We'll accept small jobs, but must insist on a minimum order fee of $40.
